Remove a user

You can remove a user from the digital workplace to prevent them from accessing the workplace and its content. To remove multiple users at the same time, see Bulk User Delete.

Considerations

  • Removing a user: Once a user has been removed from the digital workplace, their username cannot be reused, and adding the user back to the digital workplace does not reinstate their account. They will have a new account not attached to their previous account's content.
  • File or folder ownership: When users are removed from the digital workplace, you can reassign files where that user was the file or folder owner to another user in the organization. See Transfer file or folder ownership
  • Content ownership and authorship: When users are removed from the digital workplace, they are unassigned from any content where they are a content author or content owner. Before removing the user, you can search for this content and reassign a new content author or content owner.

Who can do this?

  • Workplace administrators
