User Directory

The User Directory provides users with a unified way to browse and search for other users in the digital workplace in the People tab. Additionally, when configured by a workplace administrator, the Org Chart tab will display your Azure Organizational Chart via an integration connection.

To go to the User Directory:

  1. On the Top Bar, select User Directory

Browse the People tab

On the People tab, you can use the provided search box to locate specific users in the digital workplace. You can filter the results by Department or Employer fields by searching in the filter dropdown and selecting the appropriate content. To clear a filter, select X next to the feed chip to remove it. Additionally, you can sort the displayed users by: 

  • Newest
  • Last Name (A-Z) (default)
  • Last Name (Z-A)
  • First Name (A-Z)
  • First Name (Z-A)

Depending on the profile field configuration of your digital workplace, you can search for any core profile fields or fields configured to be visible to users and view the following profile fields, where available, in the contact cards:

  • First name
  • Last name
  • Email
  • Job Title
  • Hobbies & Interests
  • Skills
  • Employer
  • Department

Selecting a user's name or profile photo will open up their profile, where you can get more information about the person. Selecting their email will open up your device's email program. 

Browse the Org Chart tab

On the Org Chart tab (if configured for your digital workplace), you can view your Azure Organizational Chart. You must be signed in to Microsoft to view the chart. To do so, select Authorize through Microsoft and sign in with your Microsoft credentials. Once you can view the chart, you can select different users to navigate through the various levels of the chart. 

Configure the Org Chart tab

As a workplace administrator, you can configure the Org Chart displayed in the tab. Before configuring the tab, you must ensure the integration connection is usable. See Configure an Azure Organizational Chart integration connection.

You can configure the tab once an integration connection is configured and turned on. You can select the integration connection, the starting point from which to display the chart in the organization, and whether to display disabled users. See Configure the User Directory's Org Chart.
