View and download survey results

You can view and download survey results via the Survey Manager to analyze user responses to a survey in the digital workplace. 

Considerations

  • Access permissions: You can only view survey results for surveys you created, or you have been assigned access permissions to view survey results or edit the survey. See Assign survey access permissions.

View and download survey results

A survey must be active or complete with responses to display survey results for analysis.  

  1. On the Top Bar, select Profile Menu, and then Survey Manager.
  2. (Optional) For surveys created by other users, select the Shared with Me tab. 
  3. Search for a survey or find it in the list.
  4. Next to the survey, select Menu and then View Responses. 

Survey results can be viewed in two tab sections, offering different data analysis methods. 

Dashboard tab

In the Dashboard tab, you can see graphical analytics based on responses to individual survey questions. You can use the following tools to customize your analytics visualization experience. 

Tools Description
Reset Filter Select to reset any filters applied to the dashboard. Filters are applied by selecting results in a chart to focus on those results. 
Move Select to drag and drop a chart into a different dashboard area. 
Chart type Select the dropdown menu to select different display formats for the chart. Options are based on the question type.
Sort

Available depending on question type. 

Select the dropdown menu to sort the chart's content. Options include: 

  • Default Order
  • Ascending 
  • Descending
Hide Select to toggle the chart's visibility in the dashboard.  
Reset Filter Select to reset any filters applied to the chart. Filters are applied by selecting results in a chart to focus on those results. 
Pan Select Pan, select the chart, and drag it to pan the chart in that direction. 
Zoom in Select to zoom in on the contents of the chart.
Zoom out Select to zoom out on the contents of the chart. 
Autoscale Select to automatically scale the zoom settings of the chart to fit the available width of the chart. 
Reset axes Select to reset the panned location of the chart to the original axes. 
Download plot as a png Hover over the chart and select Download plot as a png to download a PNG file to your device.
Dashboard Tools

Table View tab

The Table View tab provides tabular analytics based on responses to individual survey questions. The following tools allow you to customize your analytics experience and download survey results. 

Tools Description
PDF Select to download a PDF file of the survey results.
Excel Select to download an Excel file of the survey results.
CSV Select to download a CSV file of the survey results.
Move Select to drag and drop a column into a different position in the table. 
Hide Column Select to hide the column from the table and any downloaded results. 
Sort Select to sort the column's contents by ascending or descending order.
