You can delete a profile field to remove it and its content from the digital workplace permanently. The profile field will no longer be displayed on users' profiles, and it and its content cannot be restored.
Considerations
- Permanently deleted: Because profile fields contain potentially personally identifying information, when a profile field is deleted, it and all the information contained in it are permanently deleted and cannot be restored.
- Core and system profile fields: Core and system profile fields cannot be deleted and will not display the Delete menu option.
Who can do this?
- Workplace administrators
Delete a profile field
- On the Top Bar, select
Admin Settings.
- Under Administrator in the left side panel, select
Profile Field Configuration.
- Beside the profile field to be deleted, select
Menu and then Delete.
- When prompted, type
deletein the text field and then select Delete. Once this action is taken, the profile field and all information contained in the field will be permanently deleted and cannot be restored to the digital workplace.
