A carousel widget displays a rotating carousel of previews of articles and external content on a page.
Details
Use the widget
When on a page with a carousel widget, you can:
- Select the images or headlines to view the linked article or external content.
- Select a feed chip will allow you to visit the article's feed.
- Select the arrows or dots to go to the previous or next slide.
Configure the widget
There are three types of slides available for use in the widget:
- URL slide: Uses a URL to link to external content. An image is required to use this slide type.
- Content slide: Uses specific articles from the digital workplace.
- Feed slide: Uses a specific feed with multiple articles (1 to 50 articles) from the digital workplace.
The widget displays up to five slides, which can be any combination of URL, content, and feed slides. While a URL slide requires a background image, it is possible to select a content or feed slide with articles that may not have a featured image. An image icon will be displayed over a transparent slide when a featured image is unavailable.
When placing a carousel widget, workplace administrators and site administrators can configure the widget's:
- Title
- Slide sources
- Display order
- Slide markers
- Carousel autoplay
- Display options
