A feed is a collection of content with a common purpose and may be surfaced to you via widgets, dedicated feed pages, your Personal Dashboard, or your Personal Calendar. Content must be assigned to one or more feeds before publishing.
Details
Use feeds
The following content types are organized in a feed, and you can view information about their feed types in their articles:
You can select a piece of content to view it on a standalone page, where you can also view comments, reactions, and more.
You can follow a feed to:
- Surface the content on your Personal Dashboard or Personal Calendar.
- See notifications when new content is added to the feed via the Top Bar's Notification Center.
Publish to feeds
As a workplace administrator, site administrator, or creator, you can only publish to feeds for which you have access permissions. See the following articles for instructions on how to publish:
- Create or edit an article
- Create or edit an event
- Create or edit a social post
- Create or edit a wiki
Configure feeds
As a workplace administrator or site administrator, you can manage feeds in the Site Manager. See Add or edit a feed or Delete a feed. A workplace administrator can also move sites, pages, and feeds in the Site Manager. Keep in mind that:
- Access permissions: Feeds inherit the access permissions of the site where they reside. Users will only see content from that feed if they belong to a group with an assigned reader role or higher for the site.
- Workplace default subscriptions: A workplace administrator can configure user groups to auto-follow a feed, but the users cannot unfollow it. See Add or edit workplace default subscriptions, or Remove workplace default subscriptions.
Additionally, as a workplace or site administrator, you can select any feed in the digital workplace when configuring a widget that uses feeds on a page.
