You can use the Bulk User Delete feature to bulk remove users from the digital workplace.
Considerations
- Remove and re-add users: Once a user has been removed from the digital workplace, their username cannot be reused, and adding the user back to the digital workplace does not reinstate their account. They will have a new account that is not attached to their previous account's content.
Who can do this?
- Workplace administrators
Remove users with Bulk User Delete
If you have not already created and updated a bulk delete CSV file, follow the steps in Create a CSV file for Bulk User Delete before proceeding with these steps.
Once you have a CSV file, you are ready to upload:
- On the Top Bar, select
Admin Settings.
- Under Administration in the left side panel, select
Users.
- In the top right of the page, select
Menu, and then Bulk User Delete.
- In the upload area, drag and drop your CSV file or select the area to browse your device for the CSV file.
- If the file uploads successfully, select Next Step. Otherwise, check that the file type is .csv and try again.
- Users are sorted as valid and invalid users on the uploader page to highlight users for data correction.
- (Optional) If there are invalid users, select the invalid users tab. You can select Download invalid users to get a CSV file of these users for review and re-upload later.
- (Optional) You can filter, sort, or pin columns in the uploader by hovering over the column header, selecting
Menu, and then selecting the desired action.
- If there is at least 1 valid user, select Delete Users.
- When prompted, select Delete.
Once the Bulk User Delete job has been uploaded, it will process, and the completion status can be verified on the Recent History tab of the Users page. See View Bulk User Recent History for more details.
