Configure workplace notification settings

On the Notification Settings page in Admin Settings, workplace administrators can establish default notification channels and frequencies for new users, providing a consistent and streamlined notification configuration for their digital workplace.

Considerations

User preferences: Users can configure their own personal notification settings and override the digital workplace's default notification settings. See Configure personal notification settings.

Configure workplace notification settings

On the Top Bar, select Admin Settings.
Under Settings in the left side panel, select Notification Settings.
(Optional) In the Feed Notifications section, you can configure the following:
- Choose where users get notified: Toggle one of the following options to turn the notification channel on or off.
  - Email: Sends feed notifications via email.
  - In-App: Sends feed notifications via the Notification Center in the web browser and mobile app.
  - Mobile Push: Sends feed notifications via push notifications on devices with the mobile app.
- Choose how often users get notified:
  - Instantly: Sends feed notifications instantly.
  - Daily: Sends feed notifications daily at the time configured in the Notification Digests section. When selected, Email is the only available notification channel.
  - Weekly: Sends feed notifications weekly at the time and weekday configured in the Notification Digests section. When selected, Email is the only available notification channel.
  - Monthly: Sends feed notifications monthly at the time and day of the month configured in the Notification Digests section. When selected, Email is the only available notification channel.
- Choose default feed subscriptions: To configure workplace default subscriptions to subscribe user groups to auto-follow feeds, see Add or edit workplace default subscriptions, or Remove workplace default subscriptions.
(Optional) In the Direct Notifications section, configure the following:
- Choose where users get notified: Toggle one of the following options to turn the notification channel on or off.
  - Email: Sends direct notifications via email.
  - In-App: Sends direct notifications via the Notification Center in the web browser and mobile app.
  - Mobile Push: Sends direct notifications via push notifications on devices with the mobile app.
(Optional) In the Notification Digests section, configure the following:
- Set all send times local to: Select a specific time zone, based on GMT, for scheduling send times. All the send times will automatically adjust to match the local time in the chosen region.
- Send Daily Notifications at: Select a time to send daily notifications.
- Send Weekly Notifications at: Select a time and weekday to send weekly notifications.
- Send Monthly Notifications at: Select a time and day of the month to send monthly notifications.
At the top of the page, select Save Changes.
