You can add or edit profile fields to change how they are displayed on the Profile page and how users can interact with the fields when viewing their profiles.
Considerations
- Field types: You may have up to 20 of each field type.
- Intro profile field category: You cannot add, rearrange, or remove profile fields from the Intro profile field category.
Who can do this?
- Workplace administrators
Add profile fields
- On the Top Bar, select
Admin Settings.
- Under Administrator in the left side panel, select
Profile Field Configuration.
- Select Create New and then Custom Field.
- Enter your custom field's configuration options. See the Configuration options section below for more information.
- Select Add.
Edit a profile field
- On the Top Bar, select
Admin Settings.
- Under Administrator in the left side panel, select
Profile Field Configuration.
- Beside the field in the table, select
Menu and then Edit & Overview.
- In the window, update the field's configuration options. See the Configuration options section below for more information.
- Select Save.
Configuration options

| Display name |
Enter a field name to display in the profile. Maximum character limit of 50 characters. |
| Category | Choose a category to display the custom field in. The Intro category cannot be selected and fields in this category cannot be moved to another category. |
| Category Position | Choose whether the field should be displayed before or after the designated Field. |
| Field | Choose an existing field to display your field before or after. |
| Field type | Choose a field type. See the Profile field types section below. |
| Required | Toggle to require the field to be filled out. |
| Visible to user | Toggle to show the field to users. When the profile field is hidden from users, they cannot view or interact with the field in the Profile page, User Directory, or in search. |
| Editable by user | Toggle to allow users to edit the field. |
