Details

Pages are customizable locations in a digital workplace that collect and surface content through widgets. You can view a page if you have at least reader access permissions, but you will not be able to edit the page with the Page Builder unless you have workplace administrator or site administrator access permissions.

The Page Builder utilizes rows and columns to allow the placement of widgets on the page in a responsive grid. Each row has 12 units (screen size percentage) for columns to use. The row and column size can be configured based on the intended display size. Display sizes include:

  • Extra Large: Desktop ultrawide screens up to 2560 x 1080 resolution.
  • Large: Desktop screens up to 1920 x 1080 resolution.
  • Medium: Laptop screens up to 1280 x 800 resolution.
  • Small: Mobile tablet screens displayed horizontally up to 1020 x 1366 resolution.
  • Extra Small: Mobile device screens displayed vertically up to 390 x 844 resolution.

The image below places widgets on a page with different column sizes, dependent on the intended display device, with gutters and the default column spacing of 2 units.   Widgets placed on a page in different column configurations.

Configure a page

As a workplace administrator or site administrator, you can use the Page Builder to place widgets on the page to allow users to interact with content from the digital workplace. See Widget placement on a page for information on configuring rows, columns, and widgets in the Page Builder.

Use page templates

A page template is a pre-configured page structure using widgets that can be applied to any page using the Page Builder. As a workplace administrator or site administrator, you can select from pre-designed core page templates, user-created custom workplace templates, or create your own template. See Create or edit a page template, Apply a page template, or Delete a page template. Keep in mind that:

  • Applying a page template: Applying a page template in the Page Builder will remove any widgets from the page. These changes can't be undone once the page is published, but they can be cleared by refreshing the page or selecting Cancel before publication.
