Reset your Igloo authentication password

You can reset your Igloo authentication password inside or outside the digital workplace.

Considerations

  • SAML SSO authentication password: This process does not allow you to reset your SAML SSO authentication password. Contact your workplace administrator for instructions on how to do so. 
  • Account Cooldown: If turned on by a workplace administrator, your account will be placed in a 10-minute cooldown period if you have attempted unsuccessfully to log in five times per log-in session. You can reset your password to bypass this cooldown. To turn on account cooldown, see Configure user login settings.
  • Rate limiting: When attempting to reset your password or request or enter security codes, you may encounter an error message "Too many attempts. Please try again in a few minutes." indicating that you have performed the action more than 3 to 5 times in a minute. Wait for a few moments and try again.

Password requirements

When creating an Igloo authentication password, it must conform to these rules:

  • At least 8 to 16 characters long (The number of required characters is configurable for each digital workplace on the Login Settings page.)
  • At least one uppercase letter (A-Z)
  • At least one lowercase letter (a-z)
  • At least one number (0-9)
  • At least one special character (e.g. ~!@#$%^&*_ )
  • (Optional) Cannot match any of the last previously used 1 to 3 passwords. (The number of passwords is configurable for each digital workplace on the Login Settings page.)

Reset your Igloo authentication password when logged in

  1. On the Top Bar, select Profile Menu, followed by Reset your password.
  2. Enter your old password and your new password twice. For password rules, see the Password requirements section above. 
  3. Select Reset. Use your new password the next time you log in to the digital workplace. 

Reset your Igloo authentication password via email

To reset your Igloo password when you have an email associated with your account: 

  1. Go to your digital workplace's Igloo Authentication Login page. The Login page's URL is the digital workplace's URL with /login appended to it. For example: https://solutionsinc.igloo.igloodigitalworkplace.com/login.
  2. Select Forgot password?
  3. In Username, enter the username associated with your account. 
  4. Select Next: Confirm Access.
  5. Choose a method to send a security code as an email or SMS text message to your designated email or cell phone number. Select Send Security Code.
  6. Check your email or SMS messages for your security code. Emails may appear in your email inbox, trash, or spam folders. If the email or SMS message does not appear within ten minutes, you may select Resend security code to send additional security codes. 
  7. Select Next: Create Password. 
  8. Enter your new password. For password rules, see the Password requirements section above. 
  9. Select Reset to apply your changes. 
  10. Select Log In to return to the Login page and log in with your new password.
