You can use the acknowledgement feature to display a read-confirmation button on articles and wikis.
Considerations
- Acknowledged users list: Turning acknowledgement on or off does not reset the list of acknowledged users. However, editing the content will reset the list of acknowledged users.
- Group selection: You must select a feed before selecting a group of users to whom you want to show the acknowledgement button.

Turn acknowledgement on for articles and wikis
Use one of the following options to create content or navigate to published content:
- Create new content: On the Top Bar, select + Create, followed by Article or Wiki.

Edit published content: Navigate to the content or use the Top Bar's search box to find the content. When viewing the article or wiki, select
Menu, and then Edit content.
To turn on acknowledgement:
- (Optional) Fill in the content fields and adjust the content settings as necessary. For more information, see Create or edit an article or Create or edit a wiki. The following fields and settings are required:
- Title
- Body
- Publish to feeds: Required to be able to select groups of users in the Acknowledgement section.
- Select
Acknowledgement to expand the section, and toggle No acknowledgement required to turn the feature on and display the confirmation message and button when published.
- (Optional) To choose groups of users to display the confirmation button:
- Select Specific Groups.
- Choose Select Groups or Edit Groups.
- Search for or find the groups in the list, and select the checkbox beside their names.
- Select Save.
- (Optional) To enter a custom acknowledgement message, scroll to the bottom of the Content Creation page and enter up to 200 characters of text into the Custom Acknowledgement Message field.
- Choose a publishing option:

New content: Select Publish Now to publish immediately. Alternatively, select the
dropdown menu to select Schedule Publish to publish the change in the future, or Save as Draft to continue editing later.
- Published content: Select Publish Now to publish immediately.

Turn acknowledgement off for articles and wikis
To turn off acknowledgement for published content:
- When browsing in the digital workplace, navigate to the article or wiki. Alternatively, use the Top Bar's search box to find the content.
- When viewing the article or wiki, select
Menu, and then Edit content.
- In the Content Settings side panel, select
Acknowledgement to expand the section.
- In the Acknowledgement section, toggle Acknowledgement Required to off.
- Select Publish Now to publish immediately.
