Acknowledgement

Acknowledgement lets you display a confirmation button on articles and wikis. Users can use this button to confirm their reading of the content or that they took the requested action in the customizable acknowledgement message. The acknowledgement feature is an easy method to ensure corporate policy compliance, complete onboarding, gauge interest in a topic, or provide a simple signup form.

Use acknowledgement

When viewing an article or wiki, you can indicate that you have read the required information or taken the indicated action by selecting Confirm beside the acknowledgement message. Your confirmation will be visible to content creators and administrators.

Configure acknowledgement

When creating or editing articles or wikis, workplace administrators, site administrators, and creators can turn on the acknowledgement confirmation button. This button displays a standard "Do you confirm that you have read this article/wiki?" message or a customizable message (200-character limit) to all users or selected groups of users.

For instructions on configuring acknowledgement, see Turn acknowledgement on or off. Turning acknowledgement on and off does not reset the list of acknowledged users. However, editing the content will reset the list of acknowledged users as it creates a new content version

View acknowledged users

Once acknowledgement has been turned on for an article or wiki, as a workplace administrator, site administrator, or creator, you can view a compliance report with the following details:

  • First Name
  • Last Name
  • Email
  • Acknowledgement Required
  • Date Acknowledged
  • Time Acknowledged

Additionally, you can download this compliance report as a CSV file to your device. For instructions on accessing the compliance report, see View content's acknowledged users.
