You can create or edit a social post to share timely, short communications within your organization.
Considerations
- Access permissions: The group and roles assigned to the site containing the social feed determine access to social posts in a feed. See Access permissions.

Create a social post
- Navigate to the social feed where you want to create new content. Alternatively, navigate to a page with a social feed widget showcasing the desired social feed.
- Select the What's on your mind? textbox.
- Enter the content of the social post. See the Settings section below for social post options.
- Select Post.
Edit a social post
- Navigate to the social feed and locate the post. Or, use the Top Bar's search box to search for the post.
- In the social feed or social post page, select
Menu inside the social post box, and then Edit.
- Update the content of the social post. See the Settings section below for social post options.
- Select Post.

Use the rich text editor toolbar to modify the post's content and insert images, GIFS, links, videos, and emoticons. The rich text editor compact toolbar has limited capabilities compared to the full rich text editor to encourage faster content creation.
