As part of Content versioning, you can archive a content version of an article or wiki to prevent it from being a version that can be restored, but still keep it for reference purposes.
Considerations
- Versions that can be archived: You can only archive a previous version. You cannot archive the current version of content.
Who can do this?
- Workplace administrators
- Site administrators
- Creators
Archive a content version
- Navigate to the article or wiki feed and open the article or wiki. Or, use the Top Bar's search box to search for the article or wiki.
- In the article or wiki, select
Menu and then Version History.
- (Optional) To compare two versions, select the checkboxes next to them and select Compare Versions. For more details on comparing versions, see the Compare versions of content section of Restore to a previous version of content.
- Next to the version you want to archive, select
Menu and then Archive. The content version will now be archived and must be unarchived to be used as a restore version.
