Archive a content version

As part of Content versioning, you can archive a content version of an article or wiki to prevent it from being a version that can be restored, but still keep it for reference purposes.

Considerations

  • Versions that can be archived: You can only archive a previous version. You cannot archive the current version of content.

Who can do this?

  • Workplace administrators
  • Site administrators
  • Creators

Archive a content version

  1. Navigate to the article or wiki feed and open the article or wiki. Or, use the Top Bar's search box to search for the article or wiki.
  2. In the article or wiki, select Menu and then Version History.
  3. (Optional) To compare two versions, select the checkboxes next to them and select Compare Versions. For more details on comparing versions, see the Compare versions of content section of Restore to a previous version of content.
  4. Next to the version you want to archive, select Menu and then Archive. The content version will now be archived and must be unarchived to be used as a restore version.
