A social feed widget displays up to 15 social post previews from a single feed. Users can then view and interact with these social posts from a central location rather than each feed separately. Workplace administrators and site administrators can configure the widget's title, social feed source, and the number of social posts shown.
Details
Use the widget
When on a page with a social feed widget, as a reader, you can:
- Social post interaction: You can react and comment on a social post to indicate interest and start a conversation.
- Feed chip: Select the social feed chip to navigate to the social feed.
-
Social post menu: Select Open post to view the social post on a standalone page.
As a workplace administrator, site administrator, or creator, you will see a What's on your mind? textbox, which allows you to create a social post. The social post is limited to 500 characters. The number of remaining characters is displayed under the rich text editor when creating the post. Once the character limit is reached, publication of the post will be prevented until the content is edited to be 500 characters or fewer. Additionally, in the Social post menu, the following options are available based on role:
- Edit: Select to edit the social post. Only visible to workplace administrators and site administrators.
- Delete: Select to send the social post to the Trash Bin. Only visible to workplace administrators and site administrators.
- Open post: View the social post on a standalone page. Visible to all users with at least reader role to the site.
