In Event Management, an event is contained in a calendar to organize activities, meetings, or special occasions within your organization, each with a defined date and time. Events allow workplace administrators, site administrators, and creators to invite other users in your digital workplace to an event, allowing them to RSVP and view the event on their Personal Calendars. This functionality helps you track attendance and plan your event effectively.

-
Top Bar: Use the Top Bar's search box to locate an event or the Top Bar's
Menu to navigate to the calendar feed and locate an event.
- Personal Calendar: Open your Personal Calendar and view events to which you have RSVP'd or been invited. You can also choose to display additional calendars that you follow or to which you have access to locate other events.
- Personal Dashboard: Open your Personal Dashboard's My Events tab to view events where you are an organizer or co-organizer.
- Calendar widget on a page: Use a calendar widget on a page.
Another user can invite you to an event for which you do not have access permissions. You will receive a notification inviting you to the event, and the event will appear in your Personal Calendar.
Create events
As a workplace administrator, site administrator, or creator, you can create an event from a calendar feed, the Top Bar's Create button, or your Personal Calendar. For instructions on creating or editing an event, see Create or edit an event. When creating events, keep in mind that:
- Invitees: When adding large numbers of invitees, it may take a short amount of time for all users to be invited. You can refresh the page to see the progress.
- Groups: When inviting groups, the invitation will go to all current group members. Users who are added after the invitation will not receive one. You can edit the event to add them as individual invitees.
- Recurring events: Recurring events are not supported.
- Attendees: When you create an event, you are automatically added as an attendee. You can remove yourself as an attendee. Additionally, any co-organizers are automatically added as attendees when creating events.
As part of event creation and management, a notification will be sent to a user for the following reasons:
- An event is added to a calendar that the user follows.
- Being invited to an event.
- An event (that the user has been invited to or is following its calendar) is being edited.
- A broadcast of the event is created.
Before publishing the event, if you are not sending a broadcast, you can deselect Send notifications to followers to prevent notifications from being sent to users.
Delete events
As a workplace administrator, site administrator, or creator, you can delete an event from the digital workplace. See Delete an event. Once deleted, an event goes into the Trash Bin, where it can be restored or permanently deleted by workplace administrators.
Events and campaigns
Before an event is published, it can be added to a campaign to allow content creators to organize their upcoming content releases in a well-planned and coordinated manner. Once released to the digital workplace, the Igloo Flex provides analytics on user engagement and the performance of each content item and the campaign. For more information, see Add content to a campaign.
